Round hole blocking just became easy with Pipestoppers Nylon Plugs, designed for hundreds of applications where holes need to be blocked.

The Pipestoppers Division of Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT manufacture a range of low cost, lightweight Nylon Plugs for a variety of applications where the hole sizes are 0.5 to 6" (12 to 150 mm) diameter.

Ron Sewell, Chairman for HFT said: "There are many holes around the periphery and decks of Super Yachts for a variety of reasons, one of which is for the drainage of deck water. At sea this isn't a problem, but in many ports and harbors, deck water is not permitted to be drained through these "scuppers" as the holes for deck water are commonly known."

"In the event of a refit, the same holes must not be allowed to drain water during painting, as this would damage the final finish."

"The Pipestoppers Nylon Plugs provided all have a threaded central hollow water way so that any back pressure from accumulated water can be relieved by undoing a sealing cap or connecting a hose."

"A number of ready-made Kits are available, containing plugs ideally suited for the most popular size of pipes, all of which are available for immediate delivery."

The rubber seals are made of natural black rubber but can be manufactured with sealing rings made of silicone, viton or nitrile rubbers, which make them suitable for use with petrochemical fluids, high temperatures or any other conditions that might arise during use.

Other applications include the stopping of pipes to prevent foreign bodies or liquids from entering or gases and liquids from escaping, blocking pipes in order to carry out routine maintenance, repair work and leak testing. As "overnight stoppers" they provide a strong barrier in pipeline activities, to prevent foreign bodies entering the line during downtime. The Nylon Plugs can also be used for weld purging smaller diameter pipes.
